Tips To Avoid An Eviction Notice

When you are trying to sell a home that has a tenant living there, it is extremely important that you serve that tenant with a 30 day notice if they are at the end of their lease and you no longer want them to reside there. You must go through the city's constables office to have them serve an official 30 day notice. DO NOT TAKE YOUR RENTERS WORD when they give you the thumbs up. Protect yourself by having the constable go out and serve that official notice just in case that tenant chooses not to vacate at the end of the 30 day term.  If you choose to not serve the notice through the city and then they don't move out, it will set you back another 30 plus days!
